Hello and welcome! My name is Jenna Guerra (pronounced like "Garrett" but without the "-tt" at the end) and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as a Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
A Little About Me
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Nutrition, along with certifications in both Health and Wellness Coaching and Personal Training. These credentials have provided me with a strong foundation to support individuals in their journey toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Growing up, sports and exercise were much more than hobbies—they were a way for me to connect with loved ones. My sister and I played on the same teams, my dad and I trained for races together, and I bonded with my closest high school friends through training for and performing in the marching band. Beyond these connections, movement became my sanctuary—a source of joy and relief from life’s challenges. I remember thinking, “This sense of freedom is incredible. I never want to lose it, and I want to help others feel this way too.”
Finding My Path
Like many young adults, I began college with a vision of helping others but limited knowledge of the many paths available. I initially pursued nursing, believing it would allow me to help people reclaim their health. However, during my time at the NC Heart and Vascular Hospital, I realized that much of healthcare in the U.S. focuses on managing chronic conditions rather than preventing them. Witnessing the lasting impacts of preventable illnesses like heart disease and diabetes broke my heart and shifted my perspective. I became determined to focus on prevention—empowering people to avoid these challenges altogether.
After exploring various roles in health and fitness, I discovered Health and Wellness Coaching in early 2024. I knew instantly that I had found my calling. Since earning my certification and beginning my coaching practice, I’ve felt a deep sense of purpose. My mission is to provide my clients with the warmth, connection, and joy that makes change a collaborative and joyful experience.
